Flat Forms, Clips, Guides, Retainers, Bellville Washer, and Wave Washers
Flat parts are made from flat strip or sheet material which is then sheared or stamped to a predefined flat pattern. We then and punch, or form these parts to shape. Some of these parts are then spot welded, riveted, or assembled together. Our progressive tooling designs allow us to produce complex, close tolerance flat parts in an economical timely manner. Our in house stamping capacity is 50 tons. We design and manufacture close tolerance flat springs from .003 to .125 thick and .050 to several inches wide.
Multislides
Our automatic multislide (also called fourslide) machines allow us to produce flat parts like clips, guides, and retainers, at up to 12,000 parts per hour. The strip material is fed in one end and a completely formed part is produced at the other. This makes for a less expensive alternative for large quantity requirements. The material thickness ranges from.003 to .062 and width ranges from .125" to 1.500".
Clock Springs
Like torsion springs, clock springs exert a moment or torque. Typically clock springs provide much greater rotational deflection than standard torsion springs. We design and manufacture clock springs from .005" to .200" thick materials. These springs are also known as spiral torsion or hair springs.
